Allow all recipient type to be selcted whatever the notification trigger

Grégory 7 years ago 0

If we want to set the requesting client on the ticket notification, everything is fine,

and we can also choose: Administrator, Supervisor, etc.

But when we want to do the same thing for contract notifications, we can't.

There is only the profile: * and the group: * the group supervisor: * etc.

Because the choice is relative to the context of the element: Ticket, Contract, Problem etc.

Not good at least for me.

When a notification for a contract is sent, all users of the entity receive it, simply because we can only choose Profile: Applicant.

As a contract is tied to a machine (a printer in our case), we simply want the user of this printer to be notified, not all other users of the entity.

I created another profile for those who manage the entity and if I have to send contract notifications to them, I put it in the contract notice.

To make things simpler:

I think we need all the features of the recipients regardless of the notifications.

We have a lot of feedback from customers who do not understand why they receive a notification that does not concern them.

Thanks

event notification Hardware

Guillermo Haad 7 years ago 0

Hello friends, I am a GLPI user with inventory of equipment from the fusion agent but I had a theft of hardware parts more specifically RAM memory, but we never knew when this happened and with this case I want to ask if there is a notification for it to alert on the change hardware of a PC. Example: my PC was reported with 4 Gb in RAM for the first time and the next time the agent was reported and had only 2 Gb in RAM, this means that 2 Gb were extracted and at this time GLPI generates a notification warning about the change.

moving network ports between assets

Alan Brown 7 years ago 0

Currently a network device can only be moved to a "computer" or "network device" - which is unhelpful if it happpened to belong to a printer, device, pdu or other device.

The target type list should track the types of assets that have network interfaces.

Allow search for locations by address

Peterson Kologeski 7 years ago 0

The GLPI should allow you to search for locations by registered address, in situations where there are many locations may be the only way to find the correct location

A search criteria to search in all elements of a ticket

SLRVPVLN2016 7 years ago updated 7 years ago 0

Hello everyone,

A search criteria to search in all elements of a ticket. This would be convenient to search for a keyword in the search criteria without having to retype the keyword to all criteria. This type of search is useful when trying to find a solution to a current problem from the ticket history. (ex: error code, event, etc.)

The "All" criteria take many time to execute and search in too many criteria in same time. A simple solution would be the possibility of choosing the criteria that the "all" option allows.

Plugin reservation : Default value for end date

Ecole du Louvre 7 years ago updated 7 years ago 0

We want users to book devices within the plugin "reservation".

The dropdown list for duration is to accurate (minutes are note very useful) which shows too many values.

One solution could be to have a default value (for example, 1 day or specify a date) to quicker the selection.

Link model computer to type computer and other actives

m4r1n 7 years ago updated 7 years ago 1

I think that is a good idea when you are creating a model of computer for example, which you can be linked to a a type of equipment.

So at the time of creating a computer, printer or something, that you can, depending on the model and the type of equipment, only shows the models of that manufacturer and that type of equipment.

Assign ticket to a user in that group

José Hilton 7 years ago 0

I've found a thread in GLPI with a answer from a dev to make a request for this feature (link to the thread): https://forum.glpi-project.org/viewtopic.php?id=157161

My idea is to filter the tech who was in that group, example:

Open a ticket, assign to GROUP A, only the Tech in GROUP A will be possible to assign to that ticket, not all tech in that entity.

If this feature was already implement, i dont know how to activate and dont see any plugins or tutorial to do that.

Group consecutive documents in timeline

Curtis Conard 7 years ago updated 7 years ago 0

If many documents are uploaded to a ticket, change, or problem within a certain timeframe (1 hour?), show them together in a gallery format. If another type of item is added between uploads, create a new gallery. To avoid formatting issues, non-images will need a placeholder image as currently nothing is displayed for those items.

This could be a preference setting for users. Willing to work on PR if there is interest in this.

A very rough example (needs formatting fixed for oversized images, and show the document icon somewhere):
