GLPI 11 Custom assets cannot be added to clusters

Belegund 3 weeks ago updated by TomTom 3 weeks ago 1

I created a custom asset type for servers, but I encountered an issue: there is no option to add these assets to clusters.
In Management > Clusters > Items, only computers and network devices are available.
It would be useful to have the ability to add custom asset types to clusters.

Hi everyone,

I'm bumping this thread. It's a good topic. I recently configured a custom asset type in GLPI specifically for servers (e.g., for cloud environments or specialized hardware). Everything works great, but I'm stuck at the cluster stage: in Management > Clusters > Elements, I can only add the standard "Computers" and "Network Devices." There are no options for my custom types.

This is a significant limitation – clusters should be flexible and support any assets, especially in heterogeneous IT environments. Has anyone managed to work around this, for example, through plugins, database modifications, or configuration? Or is this a feature request on the roadmap? Please share your experiences, as it could help many admins.

Thanks in advance for any tips!
