Hello,
Some of our internal customers are asking to hide this message, or to replace it by a something else!
Like "Automatically generated by ARaymond Network ITSM tool" with a link to the tool.
The same way it is done for the welcome message on the login page.
regards,
Tomolimo

Remi,
Just to custom completely our notifications.
If you want to keep this signature, leave "hide option" to users.
I know this is a hot topic : http://forum.glpi-project.org/viewtopic.php?id=30808.

Yes, hot-topic.

I'm against this feature. You don't hide software name in Windows, Office or any other proprietary software.

Sometimes it is possible: it is called "branding" or cutomize :)

Hi,

+1. I think an open source project shouldn't force it's users to see branding messages.

Moreover, you want to brand GLPI by adding a signature message... But have you inserted other open sources softwares signature to your e-mail like PHPMailer, Postfix or Linux? No!

If you follow your mind, you should have a signature like this :

--

E-mail generated by GLPI X.XX.X

Sended by PHPMailer X.XX using Postfix X.X.X

Hosted by Linux XXXX ON Apache X.X runing PHP 5.X

I think the GLPI signature should be inserted by default in the "signature" field of the Notification > general configuration page of GLPI which can be modified if wanted.

NB: I also think that an Open Source software shouldn't do everything a proprietary software does.

Best regards.

Hi,

My 2 cents :

- If you don't want to let the possibility to keep / hide "Automatically genrated by GLPI", please give us the ability to hide GLPI version. It's not a good think for security purpose ...

- I'm not againt this message, but I prefer to put him where I want in my template, or having it more html compliant (centered, with a custom font in small size ...)

we can think about OpenOffice which is also an open source app and it does not add line such as "created by OpenOffice" in OpenOffice documents...
