"Significant events" for objects (eg. for computer: OS install, hardware upgrade, etc.)
I'm suggesting the fact that GLPI could keep track of the significant events a Computer/Phone/NetworkEquipment/Printer/Room/etc suffered or gained of. The goal is to offer a clear view of what happened to it.
Examples:
For a computer:
* Computer was acquired
* OS was installed
* Faulty RAM was replaced
* HDD was "upgraded" for a SSD
* OS was reinstalled
For a Network equipment:
* Switch was acquired
* Faulty fan was replaced
* Firmware was upgraded
I must admit the initial need that made me think about this feature is for computers. Because they are pieces of hardware that "lives" the most and are what users are the more sensible to (it's what they use everyday and it's shape determine their mood/user experience), I need a digest of bad and good things that were done to it, so that I can determine if the whole computer should be replaced or if a OS re-installation could improve the user experience.
Implementation could rely on tickets with a simple "Significant event?" checkbox.
The "x was acquired" event could use financial and administrative informations from the "Management" tab.
Theses events shall be listed on a dedicated "Significant event" tab ordered by date.
I'm not sure the need is strong enough for a core integration so it'll be a plugin.

Allow watchers to change ticket status
Hello, I think it would be a nice feature to have the option to allow watchers to chance ticket status when submiting a follow up via GLPI.
In my company sometime a ticket needs to have a green light of a third party (we've not yet fully implemented the approval module) or add relevant information to a ticket.
The way it works today is that if said user replies via e-mail GLPI will change the status back do processing but if they do via GLPI page, even if they uncheck the pending button, status won't change.

Reservation Approval
GLPI 10 have the reservation function native, but very simple and is not possible to costum them.
I would like to suggest some improvements to add more potential to this function.
1º option to require reservation approval (Anyone can make a reservation at the moment, without it being validated.)
2º Create the option to limit reservation time (Corrent the user can reserve a item forever) add option like 1 day, 7 days, 2 weeks, etc.
3º Add a field with terms and conditions for equipment reservations, which must be accepted by the applicant at the time of reservation.
Thanks and my best regards

Allow use of consumables to tickets
When using a ticket, I want to assign some consumables to it and have them be adjusted in the consumables panel.
So, if I have a printer that the team submitted a ticket for more ink,
- I go into the ticket
- click a new "consumables" tab
- Add the consumables to the ticket (just like items, only with the extra "consumables" data like who it's assigned to)
- The inventory in consumables changes to reflect the ink that was used.

Dashboard data optimization
Must have a Computers dashboard by operating system. "Computers by operating system" W7, w10, w11, ubnt, redh....

read only field in tickets

it can be populated by business rules,

"Answer" in predefined fields in ticket templates doesn't exist
Hello,
I would like you to add the option to set a template "answer" in the predefined fields, as this option does not currently exist. What I want is that when you click the "Answer" button in the tickets, a preselected template with the response for the ticket automatically appears.
Tickets template > Predefined Field > Answer not exist
There is a similar option now, but you have to select the answer template manually. It would be great, if glpi could do it automatically base on a predefined field.

When creating ticket, add item without the need to push the "Add" button
Original GitHub issue:
https://github.com/glpi-project/glpi/issues/17909
- Press "Create a ticket"
- Go to "items" section
- Choose an item
- Notice that if you don't press "add" right below the items, but use the "+Add" button at the bottom of the page, ticket gets created without the asset assigned to the ticket
It would be great if item would be added to ticket without the need to push the "Add" button.
