Knowledge Base - improve current engine (maybe replacement)

Piotr Rybak 9 years ago updated by glpi 8 years ago 9
Current solution for Knowledge Base is no. Wiki pages doesn't look good, it is hard to format wiki pages with styles and images (also upload images).
Is it possible to replace current KB engine with XWiki (http://www.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Main/WebHome) or DokuWiki (https://www.dokuwiki.org/dokuwiki#)?

Or a parameter to route KB to another webapplication like an intranet.

Creating an "external" KB entry (that points to a given URL) is a good and easy-to-implement solution.

+5

The possibility to embed images, mostly from clippboard inside the knowledge base would be awesome. I agree that pointing up to an external tool would be easier, but glpi deserves to have this feature.

I agree - current solution is not so useful and definitely not user friendly.

+2

A knowledge base in web 2.0 would be nice with an enhanced homepage (summary). Also an ability to add a tags cloud or something like this (with tags in each creation in the KB)

We're currently working on improving the KB.
