Actually we are doing the same to know if a ticket is managed internally or externally, using task categories to sort tickets.

Or should it be like a garbage collector (from time to time) running within a cron?

If it is done immediately, imagine that you unlink a doc with the idea to link it to another ticket: in the meanwhile it would have disappear...

Sometimes it is possible: it is called "branding" or cutomize :)

And when a Ticket is solved several time (due to a not approved solution), then record the first solver or last solver (this should be a global setting).
