Answers by mail, notifications for replies and settings (followups for anonymous)
Please create a feature that will allow limiting follow-ups from users to other users.
What I mean is that we need a mechanism similar to the function in the general settings Setup -> General -> Notifications for my changes, which, incidentally, does not always work.
Specifically, when correspondence is conducted by email, other participants who are copied on the email but are not direct observers in the system should not receive notifications from the GLPI system about new replies from other users.
This is because they can already see these replies in the correspondence.
However, they should be able to receive replies from the system (when a technical engineer responds within the request)
I am interested in responses (Followup) so that the system accepts responses from users, but does not send them notifications with their own response or from other users who are in this correspondence. But it could send a follow-up in case of a response from a technician in the system itself.
Ideally, this would be for users who are not registered in the system or simply do not have an account, but it could also be for users who are in the system but have never logged in, and correspond and create requests via email.
Perhaps there are already some ready-made solutions for this, such as plugins or settings in the system itself?
Thank you in advance!
GLPI v11 - RSS Feed for Knowledge base
It would be interesting to add a new feature to GLPI v11: the ability to generate an RSS feed for the Knowledge Base on the Self-Service (user) side.
This RSS feed would automatically inform users about newly published articles without requiring them to log in to GLPI. Each feed entry could include the article title, a short summary of the content, and a direct link to the full article (if access permissions allow).
This improvement would greatly enhance the distribution of information and updated procedures within the organization. Users could easily follow new publications through their RSS reader, email client, or even an internal portal. Overall, this feature would help increase the visibility and usage of the Knowledge Base while simplifying access to information for all users.
Impact analysis data via GLPI 11 API v1 or v2
Hello.
Following this discussion https://forum.glpi-project.org/viewtopic.php?pid=520646, I would also like to formally request the ability to retrieve Impact analysis data via the REST API.
As confirmed in this thread, this functionality is currently missing, which limits integration possibilities.
Regards.
Multi selection
Bonjour,

Assets - Computers - Volumes Free Percentage - change datatype from string to int/dropdown
Hi.
It would by really nice to have value: Assets - Computers - Volumes Free Percentage
as int/dropdown (like Characteristics - Last Inventory Date -- "-1 months" in Dropdown).
For using Saved search "show me assets with <= 10 % free disk space" we must construct such huge query:

(from 100 to 11)
Because there is only: contains, not contains, is empty.
Please, implement Volumes Free Percentage as int/dropdown or enable compare operator "between values", "less than", "more than". Thx
Forms - Annotation field
When using forms, sometimes you use the same question but for different conditions.
Adding a Annotation field will help to identify the question that belongs to the condition:

This was implemented in a customized formcreator version:

Add Raw Version of ##lang.ticket.content## Without Images for Notifications
Dear GLPI Team,
I hope this message finds you well.
As a regular user of GLPI, I’d like to suggest an enhancement to the notification template system. Currently, the variable ##lang.ticket.content## includes the full HTML content of a ticket, including tags. While this is useful in some contexts, it can be problematic in email notifications where embedded images may disrupt formatting or aren't necessary.
Would it be possible to introduce an alternative variable—such as ##lang.ticket.content_raw## or ##lang.ticket.content_text##—that provides a plain-text version of the ticket content, stripped of HTML tags and especially image elements?
This would not only improve readability and flexibility when designing cleaner notifications, but also help reduce the size of outgoing emails—saving valuable space on mail servers and improving overall delivery performance.
Thank you for considering this request. I’d be happy to provide further context or examples if needed.
Best regards,
Zouheir
Feature Suggestion: Thematic Views for List Displays (Tickets, Assets, etc.)
Hi everyone,
Currently, when customizing list views (e.g. in tickets or asset inventory), it's possible to define:
-
a global view (shared by all users),
-
a personal view (specific to the individual),and in each case, choose which columns to display.
I believe a very useful improvement would be to introduce the concept of thematic (or custom-named) views.
Why? Because depending on the context or the user profile, the required information can vary greatly.
For example, when I’m looking at the list of computers in the inventory, my needs are not always the same:
-
Sometimes, I want a technical view (OS, hardware components, network info, etc.).
-
Other times, I need a financial or administrative view (purchase date, warranty, cost, depreciation).
-
Or perhaps a view focused on support or ticket-related data.
Being able to create and save multiple views for different use cases would greatly enhance flexibility. Users could quickly switch between views based on their current needs.
Ideally, each view could:
-
Be set as personal or shared/public,
-
Be assigned to specific user profiles (e.g. Technician, Manager, Self-Service user),
-
Be named (e.g. “Technical View”, “Finance View”, etc.) for clarity.
I’m not sure if this has already been discussed, but such a feature would be extremely helpful for many organizations, especially those with diverse user roles accessing GLPI.
What do you think?
Add the ‘modem’ field retrieved by glpi agent on Android
In the XML file returned by GLPI Agent on Android, at the very bottom, there is a field called ‘modem’ which contains, among other things, the “IMEI” field for the phone in question. It seems that this field is no longer used anywhere in GLPI. It would be useful to be able to retrieve this element so that it can be entered directly into the serial number field for ‘phone’ type items. Currently, the glpi agent field that is transferred to the telephone box is the UUID, which is already in the UUID box. This is not useful. Would it be possible to map the ‘IMEI’ element of the ‘Modem’ to the serial number of the phone device in GLPI?
Ticket Rules: improve engine to better manage the "Update" method
Nowadays the rule engine, in case apllied to an update of a ticket, manages only values of fileds that has been just changed and not all the fields. this limit a lot the usage of the rule engine for tickets as it cannot consider fields that didn't change.
